Swim, float, swim

Our survival sequence teaches kids what to do if they ever end up in the water on their own. Each skill is practiced until it becomes automatic.

1

Swim

Kids learn to move through the water, from diving in and surfacing to reaching the side or steps.

2

Float

When they need a break, they roll onto their backs, where they can breathe and rest.

3

Swim to safety

After a short rest, they roll back onto their stomachs and swim to the wall or steps.

At every level, kids earn a medal in a mini Olympic graduation ceremony, with parents and classmates cheering.

How early can my baby start swim lessons?

We enroll children starting at six months with SWIMbabies USA, our infant class for ages 6 to 12 months. Early water exposure benefits your child’s nervous system, and the earlier children swim, the less likely outside factors are to affect their attitude about water.

Do I have to get in the pool with my baby?

In SWIMbabies USA, you learn how to teach your child basic survival skills, so parents take an active part in class. We also have class options for parents who prefer not to get in the pool. Call us or book a free trial and we’ll point you to the right fit.

What will my baby or toddler learn?

Babies start with water comfort and basic survival skills introduced through fun activities and songs. As toddlers move through our Beginning Survival classes, they learn to dive in, surface, roll to a float and get to the side or steps, the foundation of our swim-float-swim sequence.

How much do baby and toddler swim lessons cost?

Our baby and toddler swim classes are $103 per month for one 30-minute class each week. Siblings get 10% off, active military get 10% off (see the front desk for details), additional classes are 50% off (restrictions apply), and your first class is free.

What should I bring to my baby’s swim class?

Bring a reusable swim diaper (cloth or vinyl) if your child isn’t potty trained, a swim suit, a towel, and shampoo and conditioner, since we have showers on site. We require reusable swim diapers because disposable ones clog our filters, and we sell them in our retail area.

What happens if we miss a class?

We offer free make-up classes. Call us or let the front desk know before you miss, and you’ll have 30 days to book your make-up. To book, call 24 hours or less in advance and we’ll try to find you a spot.

Do you offer swim classes for children with special needs?

Yes, we offer dedicated special needs swimming classes. Call us before your trial class so we can find the right fit for your child.

Where are you located?

We’re at 2725 W. Guadalupe Road in Mesa, at Guadalupe and the 101. Our year-round classes serve families from across the East Valley, including Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe and Ahwatukee.
